What is the Next Step?
Any interested men should reach out to our Vocations Director, Fr. Nathan Ford, SJC, who will help guide you through your discernment process. After speaking with him, he will arrange for you to make a visit to the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius where you will join us in prayer and work in order to experience our usual daily ministry.
You should feel no pressure throughout any of this process, Fr. Nathan Ford is here to help guide you in discovering where God is calling you in your vocation.
Are You Called?
he word vocation comes from the Latin word vocare, “to call.” Everyone has a vocation to holiness – a unique and personal call to a sacrificial love of God and neighbor.
Is your call to the religious life and the priesthood? Only through prayer and exploration, can you find the answer. Your most important qualification is the desire to do the Will of God.
Must be between 18 and 35 years old.
Have completed high school or its equivalent.
In good physical health and have a balanced personality, capable of living a communal life.
Not be in a valid marriage recognized by the Church.
Be free of financial obligations.
Have an aptitude for further development in the four pillars of formation: Spiritual, Human, Intellectual, and Pastoral.
