St. Anne, the mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary, has always been a special patroness of the Canons Regular. The Canons Regular have a chapel in Michigan dedicated to her patronage where public Masses and devotions are held every year for her feast day. The quaint and charming log chapel was built in the mountains of Poland and reassembled on the property in Lawton, Michigan in 2003.
"Good St. Anne," the grandmother of Jesus, is a special patroness whose powerful intercession has been a help for many. St. John Cantius himself was a devotee of St. Anne, and he served as a priest in St. Anne's Church in Krakow, where his tomb and relics are enshrined today. Our mother church in Chicago, St. John Cantius, features a beautiful oil painting of St. Anne above the High Altar.
The St. Anne Triduum, celebrated every year around her feast day, July 26th, is a long standing tradition of the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius in which three consecutive days are dedicated to her intercession.
Enrollment is now closed for the 2021 Triduum.
Three Masses (celebrated according to the 1962 Missale Romanum) will be offered for your intentions at the St. Anne Chapel in Lawton, MI, according to the schedule given below:
