Renewal of Vows & Founding Day – August 14, 2025

You are warmly invited to join the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius on Thursday, August 14, 2025, for a joyful and prayerful celebration of the Renewal of Vows and the Institute's Founding Day.

This will be held at St. John Cantius - 4:30 p.m. for the Rosary and Solemn Vespers (Vespers I of the Assumption)

Each year on The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Members gather give thanks for the founding of the Canons Regular and renew our commitment to our vows. This is a moment of grace and renewal, not only for our members, but for all who support and pray for us.

This year, the following brothers have been approved to renew their temporary vows:

• Br. Marko Culjak

• Br. Kevin Doerge

• Br. Nathanael Pierce

• Br. Joshua Smerker

• Br. Mateusz Szymanski

During the liturgy, these brothers will publicly renew their vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, continuing their path of discernment and formation in the life of our community.

We will also recognize those who are celebrating milestones in religious life this year:

• Fr. David Yallaly, SJC – 10 years in vows

• Fr. Robin Kwan, SJC – 15 years in vows
