On Saturday, August 15, the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius joyfully celebrated the Profession of Final Vows of Brother Marko Culjak, SJC, and Brother Joshua Smerker, SJC, at St. John Cantius Church in Chicago.
In a beautiful and grace-filled liturgy, Brother Marko and Brother Joshua made their definitive gift of themselves to God through the evangelical counsels of poverty, chastity, and obedience, according to the Rule of St. Augustine and the Constitutions of the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius.
The church was filled to capacity with friends, family, parishioners, benefactors, and members of the Canons Regular community who gathered to witness and celebrate this joyful milestone.
We were particularly honored to welcome Bishop Joseph Perry and Bishop Robert Lombardo as special guests for this important occasion.
Following the ceremony, friends and family gathered together for a celebratory meal at Maggiano's, continuing the joy and fellowship of the day.
