On May 6, 2024, the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius celebrated the 20th anniversary of St. Anne’s Chapel in Lawton, Michigan, with a solemn dedication led by Bishop Edward Lohse of Kalamazoo. The ceremony included the enshrinement of a significant first-class relic of St. Anne—an 18th-century ex ossibus housed in a life-size bust-form reliquary from Italy—beneath the altar, marking the chapel's formal consecration. Originally constructed in southern Poland using traditional nail-less log craftsmanship, the chapel was reassembled in Michigan in 2003. The dedication was followed by a community gathering by the pond, reflecting the deep devotion to “Good St. Anne,” whose intercession is especially honored during the annual Triduum of Masses around her feast day on July 26. You can see the complete details of the blessing here.
