On Sunday, August 15th, The Solemnity of the Feast of the Assumption, and the 23rd anniversary of the founding of the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius, Brother Mateusz professed his first temporary vows, and Brothers Kevin and Quinn renewed their temporary vows. At Solemn Vespers at 2 pm, family, friends, parishioners joined in celebrating these Brothers as they now continue the Juniorate path of their vocation. View the photos at the end of the blog.
The evening before at Compline on August 14th, the priests and brothers renewed their baptismal promises and their total Consecration to Jesus through Mary at Mary's altar. These annual traditions are deeply important community life rituals for the Canons. View photos below.
