Online Resource for Extraordinary Form of the Mass Revamped

May 13, 2020 - CHICAGO - On this Feast day of Our Lady of Fatima - The Canons Regular of St. John Cantius have revamped and reorganized their internationally renowned website about the Extraordinary Form, SanctaMissa.org

This website first launched in 2007 has been viewed by millions around the globe. The site offers a wide range of information, including video tutorials, lists of important documents, FAQs, and Gregorian Chant resources, all of which can help anyone from the celebrant to the laity in learning more about the Extraordinary Form of the Mass.

Since 2007, following Pope Benedict XVI’s Motu Proprio, Summorum Pontificum, the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius have been hard at work in educating priests, deacons, seminarians, servers, and the laity in the Extraordinary Form of the Mass.

As a part of their charism, the Canons Regular make use of the 1962 Missale Romanum . It has proven to aid us in celebrating beautiful and reverent celebrations of the Sacrifice of the Mass.They have also taught over 1,500 priest through their Sancta Missa Workshops and countless more through the online tutorials.


The Canons Regular are happy to present their newly designed website, SanctaMissa.org. In the coming weeks, more tutorial videos, and resources will be added.

In conjunction with this re-launch, the Canons Regular announce their offering of onsite training in the Extraordinary Form for priests and seminarians. This fall there are three workshops offered, August 24 to 28, September 21 to 25, and November 9 to 13.
