New Live Stream Schedule

Updated: Jun 27, 2021

A message from Father Joshua about the new live stream schedule.

After a year and a half of streaming nearly all of their Masses and devotions to provide spiritual sustenance in a difficult time for the people of God around the world, the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius have recently had to make some adjustments to their schedule of live streamed services. From the very beginning of the Covid lockdown, the Canons Regular have been dedicated to serving the people of God and providing them with a means to maintain and grow their spiritual lives by keeping them connected to the sacraments. Brothers Andrew Panzer, and Kevin Menard are the members of the community who were primarily in charge of the live stream operation. While the two brothers were willing and available to maintain this operation while they were taking an apostolic year, a year off from seminary studies, they will now be returning to seminary in the fall. With the two brothers being gone, the Canons do not have the means to maintain their rigorous support of the live stream service with their own members of the community. This will result in the significant reduction of live streamed services.

Seeing the vast benefit that the live stream has been for many people throughout the world, the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius, have decided to continue to live stream all of their Sunday Masses along with the recitation of the holy rosary, and solemn celebration of vespers. All weekday Masses and devotions will not be live streamed, except on Wednesday evening at 7:30pm, and on other special occasions and solemnities.

The Canons Regular of St. John Cantius would like to thank everyone who has supported us spiritually and financially during this past year and a half, with our deepest gratitude and appreciation. With your help, God used our live streaming services to bring healing and conversion to many souls, not only in our parish, but around the globe. Please be assured of our continued prayers for you, our virtual family, and please keep us in your daily prayers as we continue to do the work of restoring the sacred in the Church and the world.

The Eucharist is “the source and summit of the Christian life.” “The other sacraments, and indeed all ecclesiastical ministries and works of the apostolate, are bound up with the Eucharist and are oriented toward it. For in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself, our Pasch.” (1324)
