Canons Regular and Faithful join in Consecrating Russia & Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Pope Francis invited the world’s faithful to pray with all bishops and priests of the world for peace in Ukraine. The Canons Regular and lay faithful will join in the prayer of Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on Friday, March 25th, the Feast of the Annunciation.
At 12:30 pm in Chicago, the same time as the Consecration prayer is recited in Rome at 6:30 pm, a special prayer service will be held at St. John Cantius Church. Fr. Joshua Caswell, Superior General and Pastor will lead the priests and faithful in the prayer of Consecration at the newly restored Fatima Altar.
We invite all our parishioners to join us and the Holy Father in this profound moment and heartfelt plea to Our Lord through Mary for the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart, for lasting peace, and for renewal of the Church.

Preparatory Prayer for the Consecration of
Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
O Immaculate Heart of Mary, Holy Mother of God,
look down upon the distress of your Son’s Body, the Church
and that of all humanity. Obtain for us the grace that
all the bishops of the world, in union with the Pope,
may consecrate Russia and Ukraine to Your Immaculate Heart
on March 25, 2022. By this consecration, we pray that humankind will be granted an era of true and lasting peace and that our beloved Catholic Church may be
authentically renewed in the triumph of Your Immaculate Heart.
O Queen of the Holy Rosary, our most tender Mother,
turn Your merciful eyes toward the Pope, the bishops and each of us;
graciously hear our fervent and trusting prayer.
On October 13th, 2020 the parish was consecrated to the Immaculate Heart and the newly restored Fatima altar was blessed.
