Ordination
After completing intense seminary formation members of the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius, ordained as deacons and priests, serve in the parishes and apostolates of our community, helping to "restore the sacred."

Profession of Vows
After novitiate, members of the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius professing temporary vows. These vows are renewed each year until final profession is made. The Canons Regular profess the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience according to the Rule of St. Augustine.

Reception of the Habit
After completing postulancy, our new novices are vested in a simple black Roman cassock, with a simple sash. During the first year of novitiate their habits are now adorned with the Roman collar, a fringed sash and the Holy Rosary. Novices wear a special surplice during the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy.
